CANCELLATION - ALTERATIONS
Cancellations are to be in writing by the person who made
the booking. Every endeavour will be made to re-let the
property, in which case a refund, less an administration
fee may be possible. However, should we be unable to re-let
the property, the full cost of the stay will become due.
Guests are strongly advised to take out a comprehensive
travel insurance policy to include cancellation cover
and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings,
public liability etc. Should a guest wish to change a
holiday date (before the balance becomes due 8 weeks prior
to the holiday) and another date is available a small
administration charge will be made, but if there is no
accommodation available the original holiday remains booked
and the cancellation conditions apply.
GUESTS RESPONSIBILITIES
A Security/Damage Deposit of £75 per apartment or
£150 for the Gite must be included with final payment.
This Deposit is to cover any damage, breakages, cleanliness
etc. The accommodation is to be left in a clean and tidy
condition on departure, and the deposit will be returned
within 7 days after the end of the holiday, with any deductions
for damage, breakages or for any extra cleaning having
to be carried out etc.
The use of the accommodation, equipment, swimming pool
and any other amenities on site, is entirely at the hirer's
risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury,
loss or damage to the guests personally, or their belongings
- including cars.
PLEASE NOTE:In common with most of rural
France, we are serviced by a septic tank and therefore
only natural body waste and French loo paper may be flushed
(no sanitary or rubber goods or English loo paper which
is apparently indigestible to the septic tank flora!)
Only loo cleaners suitable for septic tanks may be used.
However, we do supply an initial quantity of loo paper
and cleaner which will be at the Apartment/s or Gite for
you.
No glass or china to be used in the pool area as should
any fall into the pool, emptying, cleaning and re-filling
the pool can take up to 4/5 days and then the water would
need heating up by the sun! As this is also an expensive
operation, it could lead to loss of Security/Damage Deposit.
OWNERS’ LIABILITIES
The Owners shall not be liable to the guests for any temporary
defect or stoppage in the supply of Public Services, nor
in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in
the accommodation, garden or swimming pool; nor for any
loss, damage or injury caused by adverse weather conditions,
riot, war, strikes of any other matters beyond the control
of the Owners; nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience
caused to or suffered by the Guest should the property
be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start
of the rental period and in any such event the Owner shall
within 7 days of notification to the Guest, refund all
sums previously paid by that guest in respect of the holiday
period. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s
liability to the Hirer exceed the amount paid to the Owner
for the rental period.
